I watched a stand up special on HBO today featuring Flight of the Conchords. This was my first time to experience these guys and I have to say it was both hilarious and interesting. The whole show was them singing some pretty funny songs with really nice guitar riffs, in my opinion. There came a part where the guy without the glasses brings out some kind of eletric key-tar (keyboard and guitar combination) and the two perform a pretty nice song. This was definetly a more memorable stand up for me. The stand up reminded me of the first time I saw Demitri Martin perform. It was on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson if anyone remembers that performance. Anyways, my favorite part of the FotC stand up was the rap/folk song the duo does. I couldn't stop laughing and was amazed how great their lyrics were flowing. I'm not sure if they were making the lyrics up as they went, but even if it was scripted, I thought they did a great job with that bit. That's it for now.
